Diona Doherty’s Bridesmaids of Northern Ireland sells out Grand Opera House Belfast!
Bridesmaids of NI, an original play by comedian Diona Doherty, has just finished an 8 show sell out run, at the 1000 seater Grand Opera House Belfast. Fortunately limited tickets are still available for the tour across Northern Ireland in Ballymena, Cookstown, Coleraine and Diona’s hometown of Derry.

Bridesmaids of NI follows lifelong best friends Becky and Sarah as they prepare to get Sarah hitched. Becky’s status as Maid of Honour comes under attack as Sarah’s other best friend Tiffany throws her North Down money at the wedding at any opportunity she can get. The show is packed with plenty of laughs and nostalgia for all those lucky enough to attend.
Diona said ‘For my debut show to be invited to play in one the the largest and most respected theatres in the country, was not only a dream come true as a performer, but a pinch-me moment as a writer. For that room to fill up show after show, blew my mind. Getting to finish the tour in my home town of Derry is also magic. This show has legs (garter wearing ones) and will definitely be back! ‘
