John Cooper Clarke is known all over the world for his distinctive look, poetry, and performance style. After shooting to prominence in the 1970’s with his seminal hits Evidently Chickentown and Beasley Street he became the original ‘people’s poet’ and an icon of the punk years performing with The Clash, Joy Division, and Sex Pistols. More recently his work has influenced the music of the Arctic Monkey’s and Plan B and featured on the The Sopranos.
John has made countless TV, Film, and Radio appearances in the UK making him one of the most recognisable and well-loved performers in the country.
